Unconscious Bias: Maximizing Trainee Recruitment

June 2, 2016 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

This workshop is specifically designed for residency program directors and fellowship directors, as well as associated staff, to discuss the topic of unconscious bias and how to minimize its impact during the interview and selection process.

In this session you will learn concepts and skills to mitigate unconscious bias including understanding what unconscious bias is and how it can affect our decisions; increasing self-awareness of identity and potential bias; and identify strategies to minimize the impact of unconscious bias in our decisions as well as in our work environments.

We look forward to training programs sharing ideas with one another about how to address unconscious bias and maximize trainee recruitment.
