Topics in Biostatistics: Meta-Analysis

A meta-analysis is the quantitative summary of the results of several studies through statistical analysis. This introductory lecture will provide a basic overview of meta-analysis, explaining the rationale and the basic steps for conducting a meta-analysis. General statistical methodologies for conducting a meta-analysis will be introduced and explained through case studies of published meta-analyses drawn from literature.
