Preventing Identity Theft

December 6, 2016 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Learn to protect your identity to avoid becoming a victim of this quickly-escalating crime. Identity theft is a criminal activity by which someone steals your personal information to commit fraudulent activities. In such a scenario, your name may be utilized to spend money, file taxes, receive medical services or apply for credit. The results of such nefarious activities can wreak devastation on you and your loved ones: draining bank accounts, damaging credit and even implicating victims in illicit enterprises carried out under their names.

In this timely seminar, a representative from RTN Federal Credit Union will explain practical steps for safeguarding yourself and your family against identity theft.
