Click here to RSVP by 10/17/16

COE sessions cover the topic (as noted) with opportunity for Q&A and for informal conversation about career development including examples and advice based on the speaker’s own experience.

Note: Resident and fellow participation in COE sessions is tracked and reported to Program Directors after each academic year so that they are aware of resident interest as well as additional initiative and commitment, and can reflect this as appropriate in mentoring and reference letters. It is important to sign in at the event so your attendance can be included.

** In this interactive session, Dr. Haider will discuss his journey from uncovering disparities in outcomes after trauma as a research fellow a decade ago, to conducting federally funded research in the field, creating alliances with academics across the country, and impacting national policy through the National Institutes of Health and the American College of Surgeons. He will also discuss Partners-wide efforts to improve care for minorities at the major Partners hospitals and national efforts to create quality measures that are especially sensitive to disparities in surgical outcomes.
