OWC Spring Lecture & Luncheon: ‘Creating Strategies for Success in Career and Life’ with Allison Rimm

Please join the Office for Women’s Careers (OWC) for a special spring lecture and luncheon, as we celebrate and honor the accomplishments of women faculty and trainees in our BWH community.

About the Talk:

Allison Rimm will present a talk on ‘Creating Strategies for Success in Career and Life’:

Are you consistently connecting to your life’s purpose, meeting your goals, and feeling fulfilled? If not, you may need a strategy and a plan! In this experiential session, you will begin to learn how to apply the principles of strategic planning to achieve your personal and professional goals and to bring a greater sense of joy and purpose to your life and work. You will examine your unique talents and passions as the basis for creating your personal mission statements. You will look at some of the ways you hold yourself back from achieving your most cherished goals. Finally, you will learn how to focus your time and attention to achieve better results so you can get on with the ‘Business of Life.’

About the Speaker:

Allison Rimm is a best-selling author, consultant, executive coach, and strategic planning expert. She loves to inspire people to create a bold vision of what’s possible. The former Senior Vice President of Strategic Planning and Information Management at Massachusetts General Hospital, she engages the hearts and minds of her consulting clients to drive performance and create teams joyfully committed to their collective missions. Her coaching practice focuses on empowering her clients to set personal and professional goals and create specific strategies to achieve them. In her book, The Joy of Strategy: A Business Plan for Life, Allison presents eight practical steps to help readers find their purpose, set priorities, and fulfill even their most elusive goals. She is on the faculty of the Executive and Continuing Professional Education at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and a regular contributor to Harvard Business Review.
