Clinical Trials Management System Town Hall

May 16, 2016 @ 9:00 am - 9:45 am

In 2016, the Partners Clinical Trials Office will be bringing OnCore, a comprehensive clinical trail management system (CTMS), to Brigham and Women’s Hospital. OnCore will integrate components of clinical research, providing an informatics structure for managing clinical trials. Unlike an EMR such as Epic, which manages daily patient care, an enterprise CTMS manages clinical trial operations. The goal of OnCore is to reduce the administrative burden on investigators and study teams, and to provide standardized and centralized resources to support research. OnCore applied to both administrative tasks, as well as research data capture and reporting.

OnCore contains a series of clinical research modules including protocol and subject visit tracking, financials management (e.g. sponsor invoicing and payment reconciliation), task management, electronic data capture, biospecimen tracking, and patient registries. OnCore is a product of Forte Research Systems and has been implemented at over 70 sites across the US to date, including Dana Farber and Yale. OnCore will initially be available for industry-sponsored clinical trials.

The town hall on May 16th will include an overview of the system and its functions along with details on the roll-out.

Registration is not required.
