24th Annual John F. Enders Lecture
March 29 @ 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm
The Research Faculty Council Education Committee invites you to the 24th Annual John F. Enders Lecture, honoring Karl Deisseroth, MD, PhD. Dr. Deisseroth is the D.H. Chen Professor of Bioengineering and of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University, and Investigator of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. His laboratory created and developed both optogenetics (a technology for precisely controlling millisecond-scale activity patterns in specific cell types) and CLARITY (a technology for creating composites of biological molecules in tissue covalently linked to polymer hydrogels). He also has employed his technologies to discover the neural cell types and connections that cause adaptive and maladaptive behaviors, and has disseminated the technologies to thousands of laboratories around the world.

The John F. Enders Lecture was established by the research faculty in 1992 to recognize excellence in research in the tradition of John F. Enders, the Nobel Laureate virologist whose brilliant achievements continue to inspire us today.
